Figure 1: Majority of the patients in Group D i.e. 22 out of 40 (55%) did not have any myoclonus during induction with etomidate. 14 (35%) patients had Grade 1 myoclonus and none of the patients had Grade 3 myoclonus. In Group M, majority of the patients, 19 out of 40 (47.5%) had Grade 2 myoclonus, followed by 10 (25%) patients who had Grade 1 myoclonus, 6 (15%) of the patients had by 10 (25%) patients who had Grade 1 myoclonus, 6 (15%) of the patients had statistically significant difference (P > 0.0005) in myoclonus grades between the two groups
